Rear aircon vent - where does it lead

1st post, 1st dumb question I've been lurking here for a few weeks, just bought a 2006 G35X. I just installed the OEM Ipod adapter, with 2 minor hiccups. When I replaced the arm rest, I dropped a screw down the rear air con shaft (I had the vent cover off). I tried using a magnetic pole to grab it, tried it also with the car on an uphill, but no luck.

I can't hear the screw rattling in there, so my question is where did it go? And should I be concerned?

Thanks guys, this is a great forum btw, I've learned a ton in a short while. I also upgraded from a 2001 Ford Taurus with 125k miles and bald tires, a passenger door that wouldn't close, no aircon, and a bad front end. Needless to say, I'm in G-heaven!

Tie a magnet on a string and drop it in and go fishing. Might work better than a pole.

Thanks Mustang for the idea. I taped a magnet to my fish tape and went about 3 feet down. I didn't get it, and wasn;t sure how far down I should try to go.

It's not making any noise or rattling, it's just the concept of 'where did it go' that's driving me nuts!

Anyone know where the rear vent leads? I'd like to fish down until I bottom out but want to make sure I know what's at the end of the road, hat to poke through or damage something else
