Aluminum Pedals

I installed my aluminum pedals this weekend. What a pain doing the brake pedal. Here's my question, how do I stop the gas pedal from rattling on the accelator rod, since you have metal to metal. Have others had this problem? Any feedback would be appreciated.

Re: Aluminum Pedals

I had this problem (very annoying ;-) and fixed it by unattaching the top clip of the new alum. gas pedal and sticking a small piece of felt (w/ sticky backing) in the middle of the plastic clip, then reinserting and voilla...no more clicking!! ;-) That should do it for you; if not, then insert a thicker piece of felt or spongy tape of some sort in the clip and reattach...problem solved. ;-)

Re: Aluminum Pedals

Yup, a piece of felt or rubber would do the trick. A piece of rubber might be longer lasting though.
