It's pretty hard getting the shroud to fit into the low beam slot, since the shroud is pretty large you can only move it forward so much unless you trim the shroud (but once you mess that up it starts costing a lot of more cause shrouds are expensive) you also have to factor in how far the back of the projector would be (if it sticks out to much you can't close the lid anymore).

The shop probably put them in the high beam section to make it easier to mount both projector and shroud, without much trimming.

the e46 shrouds are about 100$

Tsx projectors were 160 back then, not sure how much now.

To give yall an idea of how much they are charging for labor.

To the op did they turn the shroud to where the top is now set at the bottom?
