It definitely needs it, or the V36s wouldn't have them either. If you look at most sport sedans turned AWD (BMW X, ISX etc) they all have some kind of different front bumper from their RWD sisters.

Driver members get a discount at Riverside? Is this for everything or just certain items?

I think for everything. Visit their eBay store to find something you like then PM them or call, let them know you're a member on driver and they'll give you special pricing.
Example: They wanted $65 shipped for splash guards on eBay and offered them to me for $50 shipped.

i still dont understand how they can discontinue this, as i thought they MUST make parts for the car for least 10 years by law. Yea we might have to pay an arm or leg for the part but they should still make it...
Perhaps they still do? Only someone in Infiniti can really answer.
You are right though, they must make parts for 10 years..but there might be some loophole parts they don't need to make.
I know with Ford, they offered parts two different ways. There was OEM Ford, and then Ford Racings which sells OEM parts as aftermarket accessories for factory vehicles. There is a particular OEM wheel offered by Ford Racing for $100. 17x8" 5-spoke Al polished wheel...for $100. I needed to buy 3 for my car only to discover they have been discontinued...but I can buy them still through Ford OEM....for $650 each. Same wheel...same part number cast on the wheel...but discontinued in one system for the $100 price but available through OEM Ford for much more

Perhaps Infiniti does something similar? Perhaps not? Only someone who works there and knows their system might have an answer
It will help your car look look sick-nasty though!
