SO, the DSpecs and Z/G springs are in the garage begging to be installed...time to get started! I'll post a full review once I'm done.

I'm still torn on the tire sizes between the 235/45/18 and 245/40/18. NismoGirl2001 has the 245/40/18 with coupe 18's on Z/G springs and it looks damn good!

I imagine he'll want to stay with the same sizes to rotation purposes. The staggered setup would be good for dialing out some oversteer if you're track racer. I've found the 235/45R18 setup to be really nice and mostly neutral while auto-xing, even with stiffer rear sway bar. Now with the all season rubber on there, the tail is a bit more prone to oversteer when provoked.

^Yep you're right Dave. I want to be able to rotate.

So, the Z/G springs and DSpecs are in and all I can say is WOW! What a huge difference! It's like a totally different car and I'm digging it. The install was pretty straight forward and I didn't run into any major issues. This is probably the best $500 I've ever spent on a car! I'm running the front and rear 3 turns from full stiff for now. I'll adjust them out some more as I drive and get a feel for them. The drop is EXACTY a half inch in the rear and damn near an inch in the front, but it will probably settle a little bit.

Nice work. Glad you didn't need my help because I jacked up my back playing softball. How did you like doing the fronts? Did you unbolt the upper A-arm like I did or did you remove the cotter pin from the steering knuckle? How about getting the front springs, shock, and top hat aligned? Did you get luckily on both sides or did you have to adjust them a couple times to get them to fit in? How's the ride compare to my G? My G is darty as hell right now ever since the temps dropped into the 40s/50s in the morning. The summer rubber gets really hard and tramlines badly.

^Thought about calling you to see what you were up to, but I was wrenching and watching my nephew as well, so it was a little hectic.

The fronts were a pain as I'd imagined they would be. I only removed one upper A-arm bolt and was able to wiggle out the strut assembly for both sides. Getting the assembly lined up wasn't bad. One side I had to redo because it was off. The spring only sits in the base of the strut one way, so you really only have to align the top hat to the strut. It went surpisingly well and I only have stanard hand tools. The bottom strut bolt was a b*tch that's for sure! It probably took me a bit longer because of my crappy tool selection and my cheapo spring compressors, but I just took my time and enjoyed it. The rears I could have done in my sleep.

The ride is just a bit stiff right now, so I'll need to back off the adjustment just a tad, but it's similar to yours. You'd have to drive it to really tell the difference. Just let me know if you'd like to. Right now I'm still on the stock 17's while I mull the ongoing tire size debate in my head. I'm leaning towards 245/40/18 at this point...

So if anyone is keeping track, so far this is the list...
- 350evo rear sway bar - $114
- GT Spec rear tie brace - $50
- Coupe midpipe - $100
- Coupe springs - $80
- 350Z springs - $65
- G37 HR y-pipe - $99
- Coupe 18's - $350
- DSpecs - $510
*TOTAL $1,368

My list for the near future is the following...
- Tires for coupe 18's
- GTSPEC FSB or front lower tie bar (or both...)
- Prothane front sway bar bushings (or a front sway bar if I can find one seperate at a resonable price...)
- Clear corners

Nice deal. I've figured I've still got about $2300 in work I want to do to my G before I'm done and move on to something like an S2000 for my fun/auto-x car. I want to do:

1) OEM VLSD pumpkin swap. These are plentiful and I can find them for around $300-400 locally.

2) Non-spoiler trunk lid. $400-500.

3) Aero rear lip. $450

4) Technosquare ECU $550

5) MD HFCs when they come out. $400?

^Sort of, but with A LOT less drama. Lol

Tires are on the way. I decided to go with the 235/45 in the form of Falken ZIEX ZE-912's... They will be installed next Saturday on coupe 18's. Everything is coming together now! I may take a little bit of a break after the tires, but my quest is not over until I've filled my wish list. My G is a hell of alot closer to what it should have been from the factory, that's for sure.

No, not a hollywood thriller, it's a Daft Punk song. He's making the G Harder Better Faster Stronger

Check this out

Had my black sills painted all around this week to match Diamond Graphite of the car. cost $400 I've attached a photo. Maybe it should have been like this right from the factory?
