I had my driver's seat fixed due to the rails warping and the seat rocking. The mechanics at my dealership, whom I assume to be gorillas, poked their screwdrivers through the fuzzy tape that covers the screw holes in the seat control module. The dealer told me this is impossible to get, then he said that it's no big deal, nobody will notice (but I do!!!). I was wondering if anyone knew where to get tape like this? I'm a stickler for details and it causes me pain every time I see it.

I'm not sure I know the screw holes or the tape you're looking for, apart from the fact that it's 'fuzzy'

Have you tried something like tennis-raquet grip tape? The furry variety? Or maybe a small amount of black felt with some superglue on the back?

I'd go back to your dealership and ask to speak to the service manager. Raise a stink about it. They are supposed to return your car in the same, or better, condition they received it in. Leaving holes in the tape, and saying "no one will notice", shows that they don't respect their customers in my opinion.

My dealership put a 1" gouge in the plastic door threshold/kick plate on the driver's side of my car when I brought it in for an oil change. I complained about it and they said they would "replace it as a token of goodwill". Goodwill my butt, they were going to replace it regardless and I was going to make sure of that.

I agree, my dealer put a slight tear in the weatherstrip on my drivers door, when doing something to the seat, they replaced that no problem! No one will notice sounds like something a Ford dealer would say, geez!
