g35 sedan - r34 4 door gtr conversion

It would have been awkward if I said, "Buying a $34,785 dollar car g35 and ruining it to create another car" that is why I rounded it up.
Also have you been to the dealers lately? G35s (or should I say G37s) go for well over 40k now once you start putting on options.

Ehh... I dunno about that. I've known some G37 guys to be very cheap and complain about price differences as small as $10-$20. I guess they bought a car too expensive for them

By mods on Ebay, i was referring to the cheap stuff...ie. cheap clear corners, $20 universal mufflers, $100 sets of no-name drilled rotors, $20 ECM chips...stuff that's bargain priced.
I've bought my new OEM rotors and pads off ebay. Most of the quality stuff you see on there you are going to pay fairly close to retail anyway.
My point was as the price of the vehicle drops, so do the price and quality of mods. With me when it comes to mods, i prefer quality, fitament and reliablity over price. With suspension for example, i'm more concerned about ride quality, fit and finish and durability. So i'd be more willing to pay more for specific springs, struts, camber kit, etc to get the suspension right. (i'm sure other people as well). Some on the other hand might be concerned with just dropping their car as cheaply as possible (there is a thread on this forum now about cheap springs for $100) and might shop for used cheap springs to just get the drop they want. They ignore the rougher ride and the fact that their camber is way off chewing their tires up. How many civics have we seen with cut springs bouncing down the road? How many with cheap head or taillights that don't quite fit right? Body kits made of fiberglass painted with cheap paint with no flex additive to save cost?
