All cars do this. If you pop the hood, it's pretty hot under there too. You can cook food on your engine.
In all seriousness, cars get hot. But without actually being there to feel how hot it is, we can't tell you if it's normal or not. Look at your coolant gauge? If it's where it's normally been, you are more than likely fine. The exhaust is what gives off a lot of heat under the car. The engine fan is what blows it out of the sides.

1st gen G's 2003-2004 Produce alot more heat than 2005-2006. Dont know hwy, but thats what i was told when i dyno'ed my car at Church Automotive, I had asked him why did my power drop off on the 2nd run, Church told me it was due to Heat soak that the 1st gen (2003-2004) cars produce, 2005-2006 are much better with this issues...

I did a tranny fluid drain and after driving the car for 20 min or so I check the dipstick and I noticed the engine seemed to not be as hot as other cars.
but if the 05+ are cooler.....wow
