Tested the Mazda 6, Acura TSX, and Acura TL yesterday.
I went to the dealer today looking to test a 6MT Sedan. They only had 1 total and that was in the showroom. Salesman said they have less than 20 in all of Canada. He was gonna let me test a AT Sedan but instead we took out the 6MT C.
The car is solid. The interior is not as good as the Acura's, but it has more punch. The stick is a bit more stiff, and the clutch is heavy. I was going pretty fast when I was approaching a turnoff on the highway and he told me to not brake but give it gas. I was going probably 60miles and would definitely have braked in my 02 Maxima. So, I gave it gas and it was fun doing the turn at 100km!!! Very little lean.
Now my question is... do the Sedan handle not far off as compared to the Coupe? He said it's close.
He told me about the 05 and that I can put in an order. Production date is December. I am in Canada? Some of you in the US have seen the 05??? Can that be true?
The price for the 6MT Coupe is about $46000 Cdn without Nav.
Pros:
- Power
- Car feels tight
- Handling
- Growl
- Exterior styling (coupe)
Cons:
- stick not as good as the Acura
- blind spot
- Interior not as good as the Acura

The sedan is almost the same but not quite due to the coupe being lower. The sedan feels as responsive 7/10ths but the last 3 tenths are less confidence inspiring than the coupe. If you lowered the sedan a little with better tires, it would probably be the same as the coupe.

iLLG35,
Are you walking these coupes with just an intake or the Borla exhaust and crank pulleys also that you have listed on your website and not your sig?

I took an 6MT coupe on an extended test drive alone and felt the handling was more or less the same as my sedan (5AT lowered w/ sport package). Actually my car seemed to turn in better and seemed a little lighter FWIW. I really thought the 6MT coupe would blow me away but it didn't; it felt the same power-wise except off the line where the lower gearing helped. I will say the coupe felt MUCH tighter and more solid than my sedan (w/32K miles), the coupe only had 6K miles though. Of course, the looks of the coupe just kill the sedan but with 2 kids in booster seats I just couldn't make the trade. You did not mention rear wheel drive in the pro/con category ...for me that is the biggest advantage the G has over your competitors. If the TL was RWD I would probably buy it.
