Hey All-

This is going to sound weird, but I think my car (G35x) isn't as fast as it should be. Over the past couple for weeks, I've driven 2 G35 (Sedans) and I think they have more pickup and accelleration. Am I smoking crack or is this really true? I know that the all wheel drive adds some extra weight but would it add enough weight to slow it down? I would appreciate your opinions or if you would like me to pass the pipe. Thanks.

 

Your car is about 300lbs heavier than a comparably equipped rwd g35 sedan. Yes, it is slower.

From what I've read in various car mags. the AWD is slower but only by fractions of a second. But maybe I was smoking that same pipe when I was reading the articles!

 

Put twin turbos on it and you will be glad you will be smoking all the other G's (turbo or not).
