Does anyone know what this switch is?

I bought the car used, and not sure what this switch is. It may or may not be stock. I checked behind the switch, and it is not connected to anything. Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks in advance.

is that a KPTechnology switch to keep VDC in the off position after shutting off ignition and restarting?

OP, did you buy the car used?

So, it probably is the KP Tech VDC switch...

OP, OEM when you turn VDC off, it will be on again when you turn he car off & back on... that switch (if it’s what I think it is), will keep VDC off so you don’t have to always press the OEM VDC button to turn off every time you start the car... it’s just a lazy switch, kinda like the power lock when driving switch... I guess pressing buttons is too cumbersome for some G owners

I just took a look at http://www.kptechnologies.com/ and it makes sense. This switch must have been linked to some type of module. KP Tech has so many. So is the switch a stock switch because it looks like it came with the piece that its mounted on. I can't tell because its hard to look at pictures of other g35's since they don't have pics taken at that angle. So I'm wondering whether or not there was a space to add a switch when it came out of the factory.

If it was used to disable the VDC you can almost guarantee that you have an abused g35.
