Would you recommend buying this '05 6MT 57k Miles

$8,000...a buddy of mine that is a dealer, is offering me that price for it.. i checked it out today and there is no damage to the engine or the frame. the only major thing i could see was the radiator and airbags need to be replaced.. told me repairs to run another $2,000...
i think it is a pretty good deal as i currently drive a '99 altima that was bought with the same conditions at 80k miles and i have put over 65k miles on it with no problems...

WHAT DO YOU GUYS THINK?

The passenger air bag and dashboard are $2200 alone and those fenders are bent. I would double check to see if the radiator support is cracked because most likely it would be. I hit a deer and had pretty much the same damage (without the driver air bag deploying). To repair including parts and labor was around $8500 (my radiator support was cracked). Refer to the pictures below:

Here is a quick run down since I just went through this. Ballpark figures before paint and installations...

Headlights - $270 (each)
Grille - $260
Front Bumper - $400
Radiator Support - $900
Dash Board - $1200
Passenger Air Bag - $1000
Hood - $550
Fenders - $290 (each)

Sounds like Aaronhl bought factory parts, but if your willing to shop around and have the time to hit some junkyards up i bet you could find some of those parts for less.....

True!

And I would only use OEM parts on my car. It's nice to have brand new paint as well. My auto body shop painted the front end of my car so no more thin factory paint for me.

You will need several basic parts, such as hood hinges, which are like $45 each. Everything inexpensive will add up!

wow, that is going to be WAY more than 2k to fix. Don't even bother dude. It could be the most expensive car you have ever owned. It all adds up.

For 5k more, you could buy my 03 sedan that I have for sale in PERFECT shape with only 7k more miles on it.

IF you could get it "for a song" and IF you shop for used/aftermarket parts and IF you do all the work yourself, I still wouldn't pay 8K for it.

I just hit a fox on the front right of my sedan, They had to replace the bumper cover, grills, inner fender liner, and the spoiler (the little one under the nose) and it was 1.3K. Just looking at it from your pics, I would say, if you just took it to a body shop, you're looking at 5K minimum.

ill tell you wat, if u buy the parts through infiniti dealer, yes it will be really expensive and defiantly not worth it, if you have a local auto dismantler that has infiniti g35 sedan parts, u will save a lot of money.

and another tip, if u are a hands-on-person and you know u can put it back together (now im not talking about replacing the rad support) then this is for you, if u rather let some one else work on it, walk way from it now

good luck man!

no way. you'll end up paying more if not the same as buying one that's not damaged.
