How to rewire Trunk Release Switch from earlier 03?
Hi,
Is possible to rewire from the earlier 03's that trunk release unit from the back of the trunk where the dog door was. Not after change lid, how do I actually run the wires from the existing release module to the front dash if I buy that rectangular button where everyone else has later 03s?
question, any suggestions for this rewiring process?
what kind/types of wires do I need?

i dont see why not, as long as the 03 has the knockout for the switch. where is your release now? wouldnt it be easier to extend controls from there to the dash? if that isn't feasible then just look at what guage wire they used and get to work. i'd make sure you heatshrink then electrical tape ALL YOUR CONNECTIONS, and SOLDER DONT TWIST... you dont need a short in your wiring down the road. that's never fun.

The earlier '03's trunk release switch/module is where that rear lid's smaller DOG LID was behind it. One has to run wires ALL the way from that release switch to the front dash and buy the new Trunk Release switch and wire to it.
I am asking any good ways to do it, like where to run wires and what type/kind of wires I need.
