Well, I'll sell it to you for about $17K. S4 is definitely on my top list.

The w210 have bulletproof engines/transmissions, they are said to be one of the most reliable Mercedes if that is saying anything. If you can why not, unless you don't want it or can't afford it...

My GF has an 2000 E320 4matic w/ 86k. I have to say it's no E55 but the motor is pretty solid. Even the abuse she gives it. But the only BAD thing is she spends about a thousand dollars every time something electronic goes out and and has to go into the shop. Already I know the window motor went out once, the seat adjustment motor went out once, and I think the car just completely shut down twice.

i'm sure the engine/drivetrain is very reliable, however the electronic systems in mb cars are effing nightmares. further the parts are expensive as hell. stick with the g.

I owned a W210 Wagon prior to my G35.............

Don't do it!!!! Beofre I bought the G, I was gonna buy a used E55 ,too.

As nice as the MB is, and that motor is so sweet.....the repair cost will kill you.

Common issues on those cars:
Window motor fail (causing the windows to fall into the door!)
Cracking dashboards - especially around the pass air bag
Rusting (usually found around the door seals)

I would also stay away from the CTS-V's. A friend at work had a 2004 for the last 3 years and had nothing but problems with it. It was in and out of the shop over 30 times! The last time the abs was kicking in on the freeway! Scary.
