i just took my G to get inspected today, and for some reason they decided to pick apart every little detail about my car, so as the guy looks at my clear corners he comments about how they are supposed to be amber not just have an amber bulb in them, then he looks closer and sees that they say Nissan on them so he goes and talks to his boss and they ended up passing me because they are made by Nissan. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeew close one.

 

I am so effing happy i do not have to do inspections.

Here in ny, inspection is a piece of cake. Well the place i go to they dont even inspect the car at all, just put the inspection sticker on.

 

Cars come from the factory with clear sidemarkers. It is 100% legal with an amber bulb -_______-

 

lol .. a cop told me that once .. i actually took it off and showed him .

i kinda didnt want to throw it in his face

that he was wrong so he didnt try to find

anything else.. but yeah he did feel stupid .

and i did have amber bulbs ..

no ticket ..

they were being picky cause i have a tint waiver for the tint on the front windows, i hardly drive my G, it has 48k miles on it and its an 7 years on this month. i just lowered it so yesterday was the first drive on the highway with the new suspension so i wasnt really in the mood to deal with this people. i live in delaware and the inspection is normally easy you just drive through a garage the run a few tests plug there computer into the cars computer and your done.

 

^Wanna know how easy our inspections are here? You just keep to your business, all day, every day, and never have to worry about plugging chit into your car or testing chit.

Wow, I was about to ask about tint laws in CA, but then I decided to just look it up:

So virtually no tint on the front windows, yet CA tried to pass legislature to BAN black and dark color cars on the basis that they absorb more heat in the sun and then require more energy/greenhouse gasses/fuel/pollution/blah blah blah, to be cooled back down. AND YET front tint is limited to 70%???? Tint can make a HUGE difference in how hot a car gets on the inside!!!

Sorry for the random rant, it's just stupid stuff like that really bugs me!
