Not concerned about the size, just if it will mess up the AWD. I am running these wheels/tires right now.

I was thinkng the same thing last night...

http://forums.nicoclub.com/zerothrea...m35x-awd-model

that might help, but granted its for an m35x.i would assume the same idea applies.

I was looking to get MRR GT1s but they usually run a staggered set up. Might have to get 4 fronts.

To OP: as long as the diameter of the tires is the same or less than 3% of a diameter difference you can run staggered.

To Potato: For MRR you can do 245/40/19(f) and 275/35/19(r) for 19's and 245/35/20(f) 275/30/20(r) for 20's

I am running 225/40 f 255/35 r and no problem. I even got a flat on the way down to Cali and ran a spare on the front with a 225/50/17 and had no problems.

While the wheel sizes are staggered the tire sizes are not since you're inquiring about 245/40/19 on all 4 corners. As stated you can run a staggered tire set up within 3%.

The AWD is upset when the TPMS are not spinning at roughly the same speed. It doesnt matter if the diameter of the wheels are different because they should reach the same plane in the same amount of time. The only thing that matters is the outside diameter of the tires. This is why it is recommended that you change all four tires at the same time, because even a few 1/32's of an inch can make a difference in rotational speed.

People trade fronts and backs because it is easier to buy tires, not because it will mess with the AWD..

+1

That is the Same Exact Setup I'm running with no issues with VDC. Like everyone said, overall diameter should be similar.

So you can run 19s on an X with the same tire size on all 4 corners? Thats a good deal.

As long as the tire size is the same (meaning same tire diameter), then you are fine. AWD only cares that the tires spin the same.

ABS usually has a 3% margin of error, but i think AWD is even tighter. Basically, if the front and rear don't spin the same, somethings going to have to slip.

I is running 235/45 and 265/40 on 18x8 /8.5 wheels. No problems with my X.

I know of a X member that has 19 coupes running 245/40 all around and works great. Just cant rotate, well you can....
