Has My TPMS Lost it's MIND???
The other night I was on my way back home. 2 hr drive. I checked my tires before I set out, and one of them was a little low, so I checked/filled all the tires. Well, about 30mi from home, I stopped to top off the tank, and one of my back tires was almost flat (about 10 psi) turns out the needle valve didn't seal good when I filled that tire, and I didn't notice because of the loud compressor.
So my question is, why didn't the stupid TPMS warn me??? Isn't that why I have it, or is it just to make it more of a pain it the butt to change wheels?

How is it less of a headache? All that stays on is a light. Mine has been on for so long but I forgot its even there. I only see it when I start it up.

Mine only goes on if I drive the car for a long period of time. Other times it's always off even tho I don't have sensors.

I think they all go on after a certain amount of miles driven during 1 trip. I drive an hr to get to my gf's house...always comes on towards the end of the trip...used to pull over and go to the gas station for air every time...i was probably inflating the **** out of them back then..

in the case where you are supposed to have tpms I think its because in these cars the tires have to be spinning in order for the car to realize something is wrong, and obviously it takes 30-60 mins for it to detect it.. Pretty much worthless...
Just curious, does anyone KNOW they have sensors in their wheels because i would think it would be much more accurate if they did.. Im curious now because like on the Hondas they have the valve stem sensors and the car immediately knows if something is wrong and even knows which tire it is and it will show you on the dash.. These cars just have that stupid light that takes forever to show up and it doesnt tell which tire.
Plus it will suck if they dont because i paid 5 bux per wheel x 5 wheels for mounting tires on rims with tpms...(i told them they have sensors..) and it was walmart, so who knows if they would have been smart enough to know if they did or did not....
