Cargo net hooks

Help! My wife backed into a natural stone wall, so Ihad to get the back mumber cover replaced and painted on my desert platinum 2004 sedan. I picked it up today (8/20) and the paint match was perfect. There is a clearcoat run that has to be buffed out, but it nees to dry over the weekend.

Now it starts to get wierd. I got my G back home and looked in the trunk. It appears that the cargo net hooks that I remember being about a foot back from the end of the trunk well on the top and the bottom are now repalced by only single hooks at the top and about 4 to 6 inches farther towards the front of the car.

Can someone check their 2004 G35 sedan and tell me that I am not losing my mind. I am going back to the body shop Monday (Aug23) and would like to have some info.

Thanks,

Re: Cargo net hooks

You're not losing your mind. A body shop did the same thing to my car. It's easy to fix. The hooks are interchangeable with the black clips that hold the plastic down that covers the trunk lip. The shop must have screwed it up. You need to swap the positions of the black clips and the hooks. There should be a total of four hooks, so look around and see if the hooks aren't sitting somewhere strange.
