Radio Fading Need Help

I Posted this in the Audio forum but didn't get anywhere with it...

Hey guys after installing my Kenwood 7100 deck, I noticed while driving only the Radio on each station fades in and out, I didn't have this problem before with the stock deck but with the kenwood + the antenna adapter(which I needed to connect the factory antenna car connection to this deck) I get this problem...
Any suggestion, I really don't want to take out the deck again but I might have to change the Antenna conversion that runs from the car to the deck, which I had to use when installing this deck...

Any input would help this fading is driving me NUTS...

I installed the deck for the navi, I sometimes get bored and listen to the weather and news...I think it is the link/extension for the antenna because everything else works fine...No one else have the same problem?

could it be that I forgot the Power Antenna Wire from the deck? or is the power antenna cable for AM only?

ANY INPUT WOULD BE A +

Hard to say. I've never had a Kenwood, and I've yet to replace the stock deck in the G, but I can tell you this: in the Trans-Am I used to have, the Pioneer deck I put in picked up stations much better than the stock deck did, even though it was using the same antenna. It just had a better receiver. Maybe in your case the opposite is true, maybe the tuner in the Kenwood isn't quite as good as the one in the stock deck? I don't know that that is the problem, just a thought.

I figured it out, indeed it was the power antenna not hooked up at all, radio works great...no more fading...

My stock radio fades in and out all the time. Not the reception, but the volume. It has terrible reception actually. Sounds to me like I have a loss antenna wire or something.
