So, how do you like your TL vs. your G? BTW, nice job on the grill

the TL is nice. it's a definite luxury car. the interior is awesome. power-wise...it doesn't compare. it just doesn't have the torque to compete with the G35...not to mention the handling since it a FWD.

my friends and family always say that i must be jealous that my mom has the new TL. i just tell them to take a ride in my car and they'll see for themselves. most people see 270HP and automatically think it's faster...it's not. torque plays a huge role, which the TL lacks.

but it's a great car and perfect for my mom...oh yeah, the navigation on the TL WHOPS the G35...oh well. i bought my car for performance, i don't need to talk to my navi.

I am working on a possible group buy for these grills with customcargrills.com. Please let me know if you are interested. The more people that show interested, the more likely it will be to get it made.

The grill would be made to fit with a neoprene trim and cut out for your hood latch release. All you would have to do is use cable ties to attach it to your grill hooks. Very simple.

I paid $55 for the grill and $4 for the trim.

I didn’t forget about you guys. I talked to Matt at Custom Car Grills and he said making the grills wouldn’t be a problem. There is no minimum for the “group buy”, but the more that buy at once, the better the discount.

He is sending me a grill sheet and I will make a new template for him. Then he will produce the final product. The grill he sells will have a neoprene trim and will be ready to attach…probably using cable ties; as I did.

Also, I would suggest ordering a "Sample Pack" from them. It's $5 + Shipping and they give you a code to get $5 off your purchase. This will give you a great idea of the design you want.

I apologize for the delay. It has been my tardiness in getting this grill made, not customcargrills.com

I sent him my grill from my car. He is going to make copies of that for the sedan and send me it back with a proper trim. I will then post pics and maybe we can get a group by going.

He was hesitant in using zip ties to attach the grill to the frame, but I can tell you guys, from experience, that it holds very securly. Plus, building a frame that attaches to the stock slots would be very difficult and expensive.

The grill makes the car look unique and more aggressive. If you like the stock grill, cool, but I thought it was a little too "big" on fake chrome for me. For under $75, it's an amazing appearance change...maybe it increases the HP by allowing more air flow!!!! (just kidding).

Some estimates on cost that I paid...
Grill Mesh - Diamond XXL FLAT Powdercoat/Black - $55.
Neoprene Trim - $4.00

I would suggest purchasing a "Sample Pack" as he has several different shapes/sizes/colors available.

I will keep you guys informed on the progress of the grill.

My next project will be putting the same grill on the sides of the front bumper. I have the aero kit. I think that will look perfect then.

The link above shows a silver version of the grill too, so that might help some people. The originals are being uploaded now...

The silver grill is not a good fit, so you'll see some gaps. The grill being made (that will be for sale) is from the black version. It fits very nicely and the trim is going to be better.

Yes, the plan is to have them cut to fit and trimmed. I am pretty sure he will also cut a triangle for the hood latch as I have done.

All you should have to do is get some zip ties and attach them to the stock grill points. I believe there are 2 on top and 6 on the bottom.
