Funny Story

Ok, so I was heading out to the local Tim Hortons (Canadian equivalant of Dunkin Donuts) to get a coffee on Saturday afternoon when it happened. This coffee shop in located on a straight stretch (very busy road) where this are stop lights every 1/2 mile or so.

I pull up to a stop light and waited for it to turn green. I guy in a Pontiac Sunfire pulls up beside me. There are two young guys in it. Now this Sunfire is no ordinary piece of [censored] Sunfire. This guy has it all done out......flames down the side, big *** wing on the back, loud exhaust.......you get the picture. This is the type of car that I laugh my *** of when I see one. Gotta love these guys that do up their Sunfires, Neons, etc and actually think they have a fast car.....or even a sporty car for that matter. It's quite amusing!

Anyways, the guy driving gives me a little nod and says "wanna go". I am thinking to myself this guy must be on crack. I just sort of laughed and tried to ignore him. He then says "C.mon, you f'ing *****, lets see what you got" So now this guy really has my attention, but I still couldn't believe that he was actually serious. But just to make him happy, I gave him the nod.

So the light turns green and I floor it. I am sure everyone knows the outcome. It wasn't 5 seconds and I had him by a few of car lengths. By the time I got to the next set of lights, he was way back......and I mean waaaaay back. When he finally got to the lights beside me, I of course gave him a big smile. He was not smiling at all......man was he mad!! He was so mad that he wanted me to pull over the next parking lot and settle this with a fight!! Can you imagine?? What and idiot!! I just smirked at him and said "nice Sunfire" and pulled away when the light turned green.

So my guess is that this moron didnt have a clue as to what a G35 is and how fast they are. That is my only logical explanation. It was quite fun kicking this guy's ***. I normally wouldn't even waste my gas on a Sunfire, but this cocky little [censored] needed brought back to earth.

Sorry for the long post, but I just wanted to share my entertaining trip to get coffee!

Re: Funny Story

Just to add to this, I have a question. Where I live (east coast of Canada), you see modded civics, del sols, integras, sunfires...etc. everywhere. I mean they are a dime a dozen!!! Everyone of these guys that drives these cars that I have encountered think they have a super fast car, and have a cocky attitude to go with it. The come off like they are driving a Ferrari. I was just curious if it is like this in other areas Canada and the US.

Re: Funny Story

Actually I have been to TO... many times. But, until recently, St. Catherines had the honor of having the most donut shops per capita.

I thought Calgary, because the head office is there... and I've experienced goofy looking rice cars there in recent trips. The lastest was a Neon with the hood off and a huge spoiler wing. I think it was t/c'd by the sound it made. I could not think past the fact that it was a "NEON".
