if you replace the rear panels you lose all the factory welds... not worth it in my opinion. from my experience usually when rear quarters need to be replaced from an accident the car is totaled anyway

This is for when I decide to go with wider wheels and lower offsets. Thinking about 12s or 13's in single digit negatives. Point is to run less negative camber as well. Max I want is -5, but if I can get it to -4, even better, but it has to match the fronts as well (those fenders will be modified as well).

Fender flares still wont work. The fender and the inner portion of the fender split away from each other...regardless the inner part needs to be cut and I would prefer to use sheet metal than go with fiberglass since by that time I'll have air bags and driving low to the point where it looks like the wheels are on the fender (but it will clear).

Actually, that's one of the few shops I'm considering, along with R&J, MOB Works, K&W and a few others.

you mean over-fenders? Over-fenders might not be a good idea (poser imo) - but actual flared fenders will work.

Talk with AE and have them do similar that they did for me... they'll have to add more material for you though (its sound like you want to go pretty wide)... it wont be cheap - but it will be right!

Or just do a wide body... not my cup-o-tea, but that's really what you're in need of it seems.

Yeah over fenders is poser IMO as well. Fender flares, well, I guess that would require cutting of the fender as well. Rather stick with metal personally. My oopsie for thinking they were the same.

I don't really want to go widebody, trying to refrain from having to modify other parts besides fenders and quarter panels to get more fender clearance.
