You can try turning it off and just powering through whatever you are stuck on.

But once you get moving, put the VDC back on. I'd only recommend turning the VDC off in the snow if you are stopped and stuck.

rhode island got about 18 inches just like they predicted...no G until this crap melts. Guess the grand marquis will have to do then for now. when all this melts we need to get a rhode island get together of all the G sedans and coupes

got at least 2 feet on my driveway here in Baltimore (pronouced Balmer by the locals)

there is no way I would try to plow throw that in the sedan. I barely got my wife's SUV out.

but after 1+ of shoveling/snow blowing, I was able to make enough room to get my car out the garage.

don't know about the rest of you, but having a garage is such a necessaity.

I live around Manassas area, work in Gainesville. Drove to work on Saturday, no problem. They kicked us out at around 1 because they were afraid for our safety. Passed multiple cars and trucks that were stuck. Had no problems getting home either, just had to keep dodging people in their jacked up AWD trucks that thought they could drive. Problem is, people think that awd means all wheel stop.

Love my new Conti Extreme Contact DWS

Here in eastern long island I say we got about 2 feet of snow.. I'm orginally form upstate NY (Hudson Valley) so pretty use to it

I just got the Conti Extreme Contact DWS best all season Z rated tire i have had. This is my 6 winter with the G and by far the best tires I have had. my Blizzaks were a little better but sucked on dry pavement.

Just an FYI

My parents live in Suffolk, do you know any good shops around there to get some work done on my car?

i moved to Baltimore in June...everyone told me I wouldn't need snow tires because it rarely snows. Moving from the south, I had a bit of a learning curve. I drove Sunday morning with few problems. My car definitely slipped, but traction control kept me in line...what I'm worried about is going to work tomorrow at 0600...there will probably be ice after today's melt

The G35 is perfectly capable of moving without snow tires. I've driven fine on worn-out all-season tires.

The prob is when it comes to stopping. That's where you want the snow tires. I've done fine out with all-seasons around town keeping my speeds down. It's just the ice and real slick stuff i'd be more careful on.
