2003-2004 G Sedan Sports Suspension Question.

Hi,
For the 2003-2004 G Sedan there is the Sport Suspension option right? I know the shocks/struts are red (as compare to black, non sport), wheels are the 5 spoke ones/same tire sizes. But how about the springs? they aren't the same as the non sport ones right?

Also I've seen the sedan shocks/struts reds but still shorter than g coupe/350z shocks/struts even they are black?

advise?

From the sticky at the top of this (Sedan) section:

Oem linear springs
G35 coupes with oem 17’s & 18’s
G35 sedan’s with sport suspension
350Z’s 2003/2004 (unrevised)
Front:314 Rear:342

Oem linear springs
G35 sedan's with non sport
Front: 283 Rear: 308

Oem linear springs
G35 coupes 2005/2006 with oem 19’s only
350Z 2004.5 to 2006 (revised suspension)
Front:314 Rear:427

As for finding sport springs, you'll just have to watch the Marketplace. I have a set but not sure I want to let them go in case I ever return to stock.

Interchangeable, yes, though it's good to match shocks/struts with springs so they can handle the increased rates. You can also mix -- as I have -- Z's on the front and G coupes (sport) on the rear.

Read up on the stickies, they're very helpful.

All G/Z springs from 03-06 are interchangeable (and some after that, but that's not really relevant here). G coupe springs will bolt right on your sedan, no matter if it was sport or not to begin with. IMO just going to coupe springs all around is not worth the 1/2" drop you will get. Either go Z front/coupe rear or Z all around which will give you a 1" drop all around - looks and handling will be much improved.

And seriously, read this thread, especially post #3:

Very informative Wayne

And the sport sedan (every 6mt) comes with sport suspension. Yes the spring itself is different, as in stiffer. I have unrevised Z shocks/springs, the difference between the revised and unrevised is stiffness. Unrevised are softer, which gives a little more drop, but compromises ride quality noticeable (from the sport spring to unrevised softer Z springs). The revised are stiffer, meaning the ride quality is matched closer to what you are used to if you already have a sport sedan, but not as much drop. I achieved about 1" in front and 1 1/2" in rear.

Do you have a sport sedan? Some AT models have a sport package too, but it isn't as common, whereas all 6mt sedans have sport package.

This will make a difference in how much of a drop you achieve with coupe or Z springs, and how much it will change your ride quality.

My AT sedan is (was?) sport, not sure about the OP's. The other reason I went with coupe sport springs is 1) the Z springs I had were unrevised and 2) they were a REALLY good deal (as in 'free') and the previous owner (red35) did most of the install.

Good additional info about the 6MTs, thanks for that. I do try to help out with some of the easier questions that I can field with some confidence and take some of the load off the real experts who get their PMs blasted all the time with the same questions.

^^^ Chris is the guy with the info. Most questions, he is the man. And if not he knows how to find it.

I knew you had an AT Wayne. And you are always helpful. In many ways (like keeping the overload of questions from the guru's). I was asking about the OP's sedan.
Like you, this is one of the FEW things I can help with, and with a little confidence, as I've changed mine out, and you know me - did LOTS of research first.
