Just found out that Infiniti extended the rust warranty for the doors to 10 years unlimited k.

Getting two new doors, wax and polish for my 03. Doors were rusty for two years, wish i knew about this sooner.

 

How long did they have your car for?

Where was the rust at? Is it only on the doors or any part of the car. I have rust on my strut towers.

 

Just the doors, but I am unsure of exactly what part of the door.

 

I have a little rust on my door, its right along the edges where the door closes.

 

I have little spots, like froma rock chip and the chip it rusty. Would that be covered under warranty?

 

do you have a site or TSB announced? dealership said last year that they wouldn't cover the rust on mine because there was "overspray" under the car.

 

I don't think that counts since it's considered damaged.

 

I have this same issue. They are bubbles at the bottom corner where the door closes and now the "bubble" chipped off exposing rust. I have a 04 sedan with 110,000. Please give me all information that you might have.

thanks!!! Just called the dealer...and they'll swap my doors for new ones!!!!!

 

Any additional information would be great!! I have a spot on the bottom of my door, right above the trim (excuse the bad pic - from my phone). I talked to the dealer a few months ago and they said it wasn't covered.

 

Does this only affect sedans, or would coupes also be covered?

 

Did they Quote a service bulletin? What dealer did you call? Is your rust similar to mine? Thanks!
