Pretty sure I have the rust that would be covered under the warranty too...it's on the inside of the door, close to the edge (at the metal seam/crease). As mentioned, exterior rust like the above, due to damage (i.e. missing paint) wouldn't be covered...but if there are rust perforations/bubbling from beneath the paint (with no paint missing), then pretty sure that would be covered.

I found this out a few weeks back. The middle pillars on my car are getting bad asrust is starting to pop through and was extremely happy to find out i will get all 4 doors replaced.

I went to the dealership last week, they took pictures and will send them back to Infiniti Canada who take about 4-6 weeks to give the ok.

At the same time i will be fixing the screws that are too long in the back windows - only started noticing it when it was pointed out to me but now it drives me nuts!

I believe it is what holds the windows in place inside the door when they are fully up. I haven't taken my door apart so unfortunately don't have any pics.

I coincidentally just got a call from my dealership as I was typing this message.. I have been approved to replace all 4 doors but it takes 4 days and I dont get a replacement car until I turn 25 (in 2 1/2 months).. sooo ill wait until then and do both at the same time.

Great news man. Wait, they are requiring that you be 25 yrs. old in order to use a loaner car?

Here are some pics of the rust, it was hard to get a good pic as I just had my car buffed and it super reflective.

You can see the other G in the last pic if you look carefully

Wow, that's crazy w/ the rust on the outside (black part)...mine looks exactly the same and in the exact same location! What are the chances of that?

Also, just checked my interior yesterday & was amazed at how bad the rust is...check out my rear passenger door! When I pulled the weather stripping back, pieces of rust fell from my door... This doord was the worst of them, and 2 others have the same problem...so looks like I can get 3 new doors. My car is an '04 with 119K miles on it. Going to get this all taken care of in a month or two @ the dealer.

Strange Coincidence.. I was just about to post to this thread again..

Just got my 4 new doors..very happy! A few things to suggest when you get it done:

1) Check your tints beforehand - make sure they are all ok, because it's possible the body shop might rip them a little.

2) If you have a rattling sound coming from your back windows while accelerating now is the time to mention it.. new screws can be bought for a couple bucks and you won't have to pay labor since the door will have already been opened up.
