Are you windows tinted? Did the swap over your tinted windows into the new doors? What about that small triangular window in the rear door?

BTW - how long did it take for them to replace the doors?

^ Yes my windows are tinted. They kept ('swapped over') everything into my new doors, only new panels.

For 4 doors it took 4 days. (Brought it in Monday, picked it up Thursday afternoon)

Thanks guys for the info. Just made an appointment at the dealer to have look at some rust spots and see if it qualifies.

I have the same issue as the op. The rust on the inner part of my driver side rear door is now coming through the pillar now. How well did they match your paint?

Do they give you a rental when it's getting done?

The better provide a loaner car when it's in the shop, as it is warranty work. We will see...

Also, just checked my interior yesterday & was amazed at how bad the rust is...check out my rear passenger door! When I pulled the weather stripping back, pieces of rust fell from my door... This door was the worst of them, and 2 others have the same problem...so looks like I can get 3 new doors. My car is an '04 with 119K miles on it. Going to get this all taken care of in a month or two @ the dealer.
Just wanted to follow up w/ everyone on this. Finally got my car to be looked at by the Infiniti Rep. today (apparently he travels the US from dealer to dealer, so I had to wait for him to come into town). Two of the 3 doors that have rust will be replaced and the 3rd door that's the least severe they'll fix in the shop. They'll be ordering the new doors & giving me a ring in a week or two to replace. The good news is they'll re-use my current windows/glass, as they're tinted.

Yeah I checked into this a few months ago at the Infiniti in Guelph. They will only replace 1 door right now as it's starting to bubble up on the pillar, and the one right beside it isn't as bad yet, but will be soon he thinks. He told me to try and wait until after the winter to see if it gets worse, then they can replace both doors and match the paint way better.

Hey guys, I have rust on my doors and called my local dealership, what is the process on getting doors replaced? They told me to come in for an inspection but sounded like they are trying to give me the run around.

I have a 03 silver sedan (I guess most common for rust)

Any help would be appreciated!

That's completely normal. They will need to take pictures and send it to Nissan/Infiniti corporate in order to get it approved.

Go back, let them take the pictures, and if the rust is there you shouldnt have any problem getting it replaced. The dealerships have no reason to give you the run around since they get paid by Infiniti to do the replacement..

Yes, it's normal, though my dealer made me wait & come in the day the national rep. was in town, so he could look at it first. They will only replace doors that have the rust perforations coming thru to the outside. They've had my car since Monday to replace 2 doors & still have it...just got an update & they need at LEAST until next Wednesday (their body shop is backed up)...Ok by me though, I've already put 400 miles on the '09 G37X they gave me. Can't believe how much power this thing has!

^ They gave you an 09 G37X? Lucky!

My dealership doesn't give Infiniti's for jobs that take longer than a day.. I got a crappy Corolla since they own a Toyota dealership next door also.

On the bright side, for all 4 doors, it took less than 4 days to fix. Brought my car in Monday, picked it up Thursday afternoon.
