cooling system problems

does anybody have a d.i.y of how to fix the coolant air pocket on an 03 G sedan?? i just replaced my radiator and when i start it up and warm it up and start to drive the temp gauge shoots up to hot and theres absolutly no heat. I can't figure it out, i thought it could be the thermostat not opening up but quite a few people told me that i just need to bleed the air out the system, especially when putting a new radiator in. Send some knowledge this way guys i've been without my G for almost a month now

Check out the coolant service video by bythabay. It is most likely in there.

^ follow the video DIY or use a coolant bleeder funnel. also, parking on an incline helps speed up the process.

Or, when the car is hot you can just slowly open the bleeder valve part way so the air can come out. When the coolant starts to come out close it. Repeate process until no air comes out.

do a search next time...before you start a thread

I think I'm still having issues with mine. Heat is alright, but I hear water when I start the engine...

If any of you drive the cars or let them idle like that for too long the head gaskets will blow and that's really bad. If it overheats bad enough there is also a chance of losing compression on one or more cylinders.
