Modded G vs. Modded S2K
THis past thursday I was able to run against a S2K with Intake, headers, exhaust and a throttle body. It was a car that we worked on. I have a sedan with Injen, helix and borla TD, auto.
we went from a roll in 2nd. pulled all the way to 4th and we were dead even. The S2k had one of our drivers so he knows how to drive. We also went from 1st and same result. Now from a dig is a different story. He killed me, i cant launch the auto. but i thought i did good against the s2k

You didnt power break?? That's what i do but slowly so i dont spin the rears, and its like an instant take off!! I do that against cars i know will be a very good run and will need to get the most out of my car, try it.

Its not a manual but if you take it up to 2k rpm without any spinning you wont bog off the line and its instant, any other car except an AWD will have some spinnage which will give you the upper hand off the launch!!

6K huh, buddy of mine had an SI and was dropping at 4K I guess the clutches & Tranmissions in Hondas are farely robust to take the abuse. That is something I would have to get used to doing. But then again they hardly have any torque so it's probably not all that bad.

Re: Modded G vs. Modded S2K
The S2000 can only take so many 6K clutch drops before something breaks. I was afraid to do any high-rpm clutch drops in my S2000 so I rarely launched mine. The car is much more fun from a roll -- just keep the revs above 6K and it's a rocket.
