Sport Tuned Susp. ??

Hello All.

I purchased my 04 5AT Sedan w. Spoiler, Leather, Sunroof used.

Dealer (non Infiniti) did not know if equipped with sport tuned suspension (STS).

Is there any specific item that I could look for that might indicated whether or not it is equipped with STS?

Any place on the vin?

Thanks for helping this newbie out.

The std wheels for a sports tuned suspension are 5 spoke. The std G35 sedan suspension have the 6 spoke wheels.

Also, those sedans with sport package have a titanium colored console with matching titanium door handles and shifter accent strip.

Re: Sport Tuned Susp. ??

Stillen has their sway bars on sale at the moment, down
from $499 to $289. It cost me $313 delivered to my door in
Sugar Land, Tx, (suburb of Houston) These sway bars are
by far the best thing I've done to my G! I am tempted to get
the sport tuned suspension, but the roads here are so lousy.
I appreciate a softer nice ride quality over the pot holes
and such. How do you like the Z suspension? I understand
is is harsh?

Re: Sport Tuned Susp. ??

Thanks for the heads up on the stillen sways. I have the
coupe suspension on my sedan, only couple of weeks but so far so good.I had bought the car with non-sport, then swiched to the sport, quite a nice surprise, did not lower the car but just seemed tighter and firmer, and held the road more, the way a luxury sport sedan should , just firmed up the bumps a tad which is what I wanted but also kept the comfort good for the wife. The best thing to do is try them at your local dealer
then you can judge what is best for you. I think at this point
I'm stopping with the coupe suspension also due to the roads
and the snow but always tempted to go another notch with
the 04Z shocks as I have heard they have lost some bounce problems. How do you like your sways and is there a big
difference from the regular sways.

Re: Sport Tuned Susp. ??

I love the Stillen sway bars. There is a big difference in the
way the Sedan takes the corners at high speed with the sway
bars. The car seems like it is on rails, with little to no front
end dipping into the corners. I wonder if my non-sport
suspension sedan performs better with the sway bars than
the sport tuned suspension sedan. I bet it does.

Pobably does but the sport with the sways would be up
another notch.

I was looking in a Consumer Guide book and here are the ratings for ride quality:

Sedan, auto: 7
Sedan, AWD w/Prem. Pkg,.: 7
Sedan w/Sport tuned susp. pkg., auto: 5
Coupe w/Sport tuned susp. pkg., manual: 3
Coupe w/performance tire pkg., auto: ?
Coupe, auto: ?

Does anyone have an idea of where the ride quality stands for the Coupe automatic without the susp. pkg?
