Upgrading the g35x

Hi All. Has anyone upgraded their g35x with either a CAI, ECU, Z-Tube or Pop Charger? I want to put a K&N Filter, CAI as well and the Z-Tube but my first question is, does it really help? The second question...Does anyone know of any Infiniti dealerships in the NY,NJ,CT or even PA area that will install these upgrades and still honor warranty? I know that question is a long shot but I still have to ask. The last question... If I have to install these mods myself, will Infiniti notice these mods when I take my car in for scheduled service? Thanks in advance for your help.

Re: Upgrading the g35x

Mdkip...I have had my 04G35x for about a month and prior to that, had an 03 sedan with many mods. The dealers that i have gone to in NJ were Ramsey (Ramsey NJ) and Lynnes (Bloomfield) Niether gave me any hassel on my 03 and I have already added the Z-tube, Grounding Kit and am about to add the CAI (mayben Injen or Still High flow). The definatly make a diference in feel and power. Not sure where you live but those dealers are really mod friendly, I actualy just learned that Lynnes in Bloomfield has signed a deal with Stillen to carry their after market products and told me they would be more than happy to install them.
Hope this helps!

Re: Upgrading the g35x

That would be awesome! Do you know when that is supposed to go into effect? I live in Bergen County right off the parkway so that would not be a problem at all to go there. Its probably like 25 minutes away. Thanks for the info Jay! Are you going to have the stillen supercharger installed once Lynnes has it? I think the g35x would be a mean machine with that plus the awd traction. I would think it would be better off the line than the rwd sedan and the coupe.

Re: Upgrading the g35x

mdkip: I have the Stillen Hi Flo, Z tube, Crawford V5, 5-wire ground kit and HKS muffler on mine. I would say that the performance changes are in line with those of the RWD sedan. Namely, louder, better throttle response. I haven't done any dyno pulls yet. I did all of the work myself. I haven't been back to a dealer yet but I don't anticipate any problems with light modifications.

Re: Upgrading the g35x

I have been contimplating the SC from stillen for a while because of the 'off the line' power you get from that one. BUT, I will hold off until there is a viable exhuast for our car. I agree about the power AND AWD I mean think about all of the superfast cars and most of them are AWD in way shape or form so i would love to do it to have the power and stability!! I mean trust me, I have tried my hardest to spin thi scar and I can't.

You should check the thread where a Stillen S/C setup lost power with aftermarket exhaust items. jimthegreek02 was the author.
