G35 Clock Light

I recently had my CD changer replaced. When I picked up the car the light in the clock no longer worked. The dealer says its a coincidence. Any idea whether there could be a correlation to the work done replacing the changer? Thanks

This issue has been posted before and if you searched a little you would have probably found something. I just saw that there is another post about the same question on Jan 5 about 15-20 theads down.

This is a known issue when changing out the cd changer. This happened when I swapped out my OEM radio/cd changer for an aftermarket head unit. Not sure why it does this but it happens.

It is pretty easy to change out the bulbs or replace them with LEDs. See the following link.

https://g35driver.com/forums/lightin...ent-guide.html

It talks about replacing with a new bulb but later on there are mentions of how to replace with a LED.

Coincidence my azz. Take it back to the dealer and demand they fix it for free. Make them give you a loaner G37 and have fun in it for a day.

Come on guys. It takes 3 sec to connect the wires. The plastic bezel around the light pulls right out and then all you have to do is plug in the clock.
