interior dash question.
hey guys, so my question (hopefully) is quite simple, i am feeling very gullible because im using 'leather' cleaner on the dash because it feels like its leather to me.. lol anyhow... is it leather or pleather or plastic? i just want to know what to use next time

G35 sedan w/ too much money in mods
It's plastic to ease your mind. A lot of us use Aerospace 303 as a protectant on all plastic and leather surfaces. Works great, looks great, and leaves no sticky residue.

It's plastic.

WHatever you use...don't use something alcohol based, like Armorall. It can dry out the dash over time.


I use Lexol Vynlex on my dash and door panels

wtf.. armor all has alcohol... i didnt know this.. crap
gotta go check the ingredients in that crap now

edit: why doesnt it say active ingredients... must research now!

I use Meguiars Gold Class Vinyl/Rubber Protectant on my dash/plastic items

and Meguairs Gold Class Rich Leather Spray for anything leather.


Both of them work well,and smell good too.

You can get this stuff at any local car part store or were ever car cleaning stuff is sold.

Tht stuff works awesome on leather. I've been able to work out wrinkles with it by wiping the seats down and letting it sit for a few nights without driving.

^ very nice, when I clean my car I vacuum and use the Megs Vinyl/Rubber protectant on dash, doors, bottom part of the center console and the rear deck were sub is. (Spray on an applicator)

I then spray the leather alot and use my hand to smear all the leather nutrients around.

I go wash my car, dry it, apply wax if needed, then go back into my car and wipe the chairs with my MF cloth.

Really? I've been using this for the past 5 years on the G and my dash doesn't look dry though. It said it's for vinyl dash.

+1 on meguires gold. thats what I use too, and a scrub brush for the leather
