Have we established the proper length for the spoiler, I am hearing all sorts of things. 1160mm looked good.

Here's all the pics I have of the 1160mm length. There's about 1/16th of an inch left on each side. Hope this helps!!!

It was a while ago. I don't remember the exact seller on ebay. I just know the seller is from Taiwan and had pic's of vodkarocket's car on his auction. Just search "G35 sedan lip" on ebay and you'll see the seller.

Install tips I found in the other thread, Ill post it here for convenience

1. Clean the surface that is to be covered
by the spoiler thoroughly with Isopropyl
Alcohol.

2. Before removing the tape backing, test
fit the spoiler in order to get comfortable
with the placement. You can mark the
position with a grease pen or masking
tape to ensure a perfect fit.

3. Peel back the corner of the backing on
the 3M tape and remove all pieces. Avoid
touching the exposed tape.

4. Firmly press down on the spoiler to
ensure cohesion along the entire vehicle
surface. Continue to apply pressure or use
masking tape to keep unit from lifting. Do
not drive for 12 hours!

^Isopropyl is really harsh on paint. Prep solvent would be much better.

Did we really need to know how to pull some sticker on and slap on a spoiler?

This is not a hard install in the least bit....

Many detailers use IPA, 50/50 mix which is what I would use. And will use, along with using my DA with a polish to make sure it sticks like a **** :P

50/50 is key (but even straight it's okay) - I've used it many times when re-badging... the 50/50 helps with positioning too (let's you slide it around slightly before the glue sets)...

It evaporates quickly... I wipe residual with quick detail just for the helluvit ~

IDK, maybe if you have good wax on the car. All I know is me and dad used 70% to remove tar from the hood of my mom's suburban a long time ago, and you can still see spots where the clear coat is different on the hood (many years/washes later) combined with the fact I've never seen my paint and body guy or a friend that does pinstripping ever use IPA

Well you don't let the IPA sit there, and you don't use more then 50%. You go over it with some QD, but mostly every detailer uses 50% water 50% IPA, to remove oils or polishes or waxes.

the clear coat was etched from the tar not the iso-alcohol (same thing happened to me from tree sap when the car was only 2 weeks old).

Clear bra installers use a solution (that is basically 50/50 h20/alcohol) because it allows you to position the film before it dries - and since it evaporates it doesn't leave residue (like soapy water).

Anyway - its fine to use.

Bah, I am trying to position it. But I think I might need sunlight :O

Any tips? I currently and just using blue painters tape to hold it in place, but yea once I get perfect fitment how the heck do I make sure it stays that way when I take it off to pull the tape

Once I pull the protective tape, and put it on my car, can you or cant you move it any more? Does that glue/tape have some sort of cure time?

Like I could pull the protective film, stick it on the best I can, then move it a little bit to position it the way I want?

Thanks
