Guys i just picked up the new 05 car buying edition mag. of motortrend and for the 05 G35 coupe 6 spd it says 295 hp and the sedan is only getting 277 or somethin like that, didnt mention anything about 298 or 295 for the sedan and 298 for the coupe, hmm..

in other words, the 6mt sedan was underated all this time for marketing purposes and dynos have shown approx 227hp to the wheels which is consistent with 277hp minus 18% loss, give or take..............regardless, the only way to truly see what the hp/tq for 05 6mt sedan is from dynos....

Oh really wow, that would suck then!! LOL people would think they are getting more power but they are bumping it up the number it should be right now!!

298 crank hp on paper sounds nice, but I'd like to see dyno, 0-60, and 1/4 mi numbers of the new Sedan and Coupe.

 

Why can't G35 sedan has more horsepower than 350Z? Probably Nissan thinks it is more reasonable for its premium brand vehicle to be stronger than its regular brand vehicle. Yeah I like this idea, so 350Z owners wouldn't think they are faster than us......but too bad now my sedan is the weakest in the G/Z family.

My 04 AT Sedan pulled 220hp on the DynoJet with only a Z-tube and K&N as mods. Assuming approx. 23% drivetrain loss for the auto, that means I've got 285hp+ at the crank. However, one of the early 03's only pulled around 210whp with the same mods (same dyno, same day, etc.). I suspect that somewhere in between the earliest releases and now they modified the ECU for more power, but never advertised it.

 

On the 2006 model the tail lights are changed? Damn I just got my coupe and they are changing the lights. FYI Athens Blue Prem. Pack & Sports Tuned.
