I got rid of all my swirls by using Menzerna's Super Intensive Polish on orange pads with a porter cable. I followed it up with two finishing polishes, a sealant and a wax; now the car looks brand new.

Here's after one pass with SIP.

My OB seems to have hardly noticable swirling when its really dirty, but when I wax her up and got it all shiny, my OB looks sleeker than any car uve ever seen

My 03 doesn't have any real swirls, but I will say this is the last black car I ever own. The problem with black is that it's a mirror and will show anything. Little dings look enormous because of the displaced light. Front end chips looks terrible because the primer coat is exposed or wax/grim gets into the broken edges. It also photographs horribly. A black car could be slammed to the ground, but in a photo, the contrast between the tire and fender line is lost and makes the car appear to sit far higher than what you see in person. It looks killer when clean, but I'm ready to move on to white and dirty gray/silvers.

agreed. Matte black is probably the worst good post though you nailed why black is a pain.

OP your just going to need some good products and some elbow grease.

It's simply amazing what you can do with a porter cable and SIP. Sometimes, it looks so good after one pass that I don't even bother going to a final polish. Thats with a orange pad too.

Nope... sorry dude, nobody has ever had any success with OB, not even Tim............ oh wait....

Holy damn! That car looks incredible. That also looks like a very uncomfortable seating position
