+1. I have AWD, but it's completely useless if you have no traction to the surface you're driving on. This is true with ANY car.

I've gone up some pretty good inclines. If you are spinning that much, your tires suck or your driveway is pure ice.

 

yes me also. you might need to get some snow tires, they make a big difference.

 

Blizzaks are the solution I put them on my 04 X and the car is like it's on rails in the snow

Are the tires the same overall diameter front and rear?

If they aren't the AWD faults and shuts down to prevent damage. if this is the case, you need to get tires that are the same overall diameter. Widths don't matter...overall diameter does. There are various tire calcs to determine this, or you can post your F&R tire sizes here

245 what? 275 what? What's the full size? That info is needed to determine overall diameter
