What is a resonable price to pay?

Hey how you doing. Im new on this thread and went from selling my sc300 to now wanting a 03 to 06 G35 sedan. I had a couple questions if I could get some answers this would help alot.

What is a reasonable price to pay for a sedan with 70 to 90 thousand miles?

What major repairs can i expect to be doing if I purchase a sedan close to the big 100?

Basically dollars to cents is 10 grand reasonable?

Thanks,Randy

$10K might get you an 03 with that mileage range. Just do routine maintenance. My 04 is at 80K miles with routine maintenance and no issues. At that age and mileage, you can expect squeaks and rattles, but nothing majorly wrong.

Hey G SEDAN thanks for the help. I know exactly what to do now. And kvangil, when you say squeaks and rattles are you talking bout suspension parts like all the bushings and things or engine squeaks and rattles.?

Fixed!

I picked up my 03 for 9300 AFTER TAX just over a year ago. It had 99,000.
Now over 116k and still no major problems. Only real problem I've had was the radio/cd changer problem everyone has, and lobotomizing the cd changer took care of that.

Hey thanks for the info. What exactly happens to the cd changer? And from what i hear these g sedans will get you to 150,000 miles before major repairs? And a year ago for 9300 is good because now a 03 with that mileage is just around 9.

I bought my 03.5 two years ago for $7100 Premium package too!

It had 120k on it at the time, and was perfectly fine... it just had the typical issue with the radio/HVAC and needed rear tires. Basically, the radio doesn't work at all, and the AC controls get stuck. (In my case, stuck on AUTO A/C at 75 degrees).

I simply bought a new dash kit for an aftermarket radio with new HVAC buttons, and put a better aftermarket radio with iPod adapter in it, and installed wiring for more speakers/amps for $600... and that fixed it all!

^^^ oh BTW... I'm now at 151k miles and have had to do no major repairs. I've over-maintained the CRAP out of the car... babied it, and changed the belts. DONE!

Good luck in your search!

Dammm. What a deal 7100. Was it a rebuilt title or something? Or give me directions to the chop shop where you picked that up at. And I was looking to keep it under the 90 thousand mile range. But you havent changed your timing belt or water pump or anything semi major like that? You should check into it you may be due.

I actually bought it at a reputable auction back in Indy. I had the full history on the car. I'm the 3rd owner. Clean title. It was purchased and traded in at the most recognized BMW/Infiniti/Mini/Maserati dealership. Because it was so high mileage... it just went straight to auction from that dealership.

I'm no dumby when it comes to cars and mechanics... and the car is in tip top shape still. It's not uncommon for G's to last this long. And the car doesn't have a timing belt, it's got a timing chain

Pics of the car after a nice black wax and new window tint:

No plans for rims down the road? I havent seen it but im sure some people have done it but a g sedan would look clean on the m45 rims. Oh and your car isnt lowered right?

Nah... no rims or drop. I would love rims... but the cars got 150k+ ya know? I've already decided I want another G. 2006 6MT. Then I'll put that thing on rims and spring it. I'd rather save the money now to buy the newer car sooner

Just interior squeaks and rattles, like a squeak in the middle of my dash going over bumps (winter probably has something to do with that). My suspension's been solid.

Yea i hear that 150k seemed a bit high to me. Im really looking for 70k so i can actually spring mine, rims, and a couple little mods. I dont want a car that becomes a matience money pit. Thats what im trying to make sure this car isnt.

And the senior squeaks. I got you. And I live in florida our winter is nothing.
