I'm keeping it.....now what

Ok, you guys were helpful talking me through my gut feeling of keeping my Silver 2003.5 G35 Sedan. It is pretty stock except for 2 JL 10w6's and a JL500/1 amp and dark tint around the car......but now what.

I am able to spend roughly 5k on my car and would love it if you all have some pictures of cool mods that you can post for great ideas.

I was thinking wheels/tires , but not sure on size/style definitely 18" or 19"

What about having a bodyshop paint the bottom black bottom sills around the vehicle to match the car. I got quoted $1300 to do Front/Rear and side sills.

Load me up with ideas.

Thanks

All good ideas. Drop her as well!

Also, if you havn't yet, upgrade your headunit and speakers. Probably my favorite thing on my car is the upgraded sound system!

Wheels and a drop are a great place to start, I have to ask you these questions though.

How low are you willing to go? (this will determine the size of wheels for you)
Do you like chrome(say no, or I won't give you my opinion)

Skirts and front, you got quoted VERY high because the body shop is scarred to paint something plastic that isn't normally painted. Try and find a custom shop or someone willing to do custom work. I am sure there is something you can find locally.

My mods if I had a nearly stock G and $5000 to spend.
1. Axis wheels with tires from one of are great vendors. $2300
2. Drop, Tein S-techs $150 (plus $200 install unless you can do it yourself)
3. That ebay front lip (unless you're willing to buy a bumper) $100
4. Stillen rear lip $300
5. Painted Skirts and said lips $500
6. Paint your roof black $150
7. Head unit and double din conversion $1000 ($300 DD and $700ish for the head)
8. Debadge the G35 and infiniti emblems.

Then you'll have $500 left, spend it on hookers and booze then waste the rest.

I can edit that if you're more performance oriented than prettiness....

MyGisgangsta has one painted and installed. There was a crazy long thread about it.

Ignore the picture of a coupe, they were smoking meth I think.

Bags= Start at $3000 doesn't leave much for baller rims.

Maybe coils and wheels. But then your body is stock and looks wack.

It can be done cheap, but bags are something you don't want installed cheap. They can be hacked up quick. Maybe in California it's more competitive (likely) so the labor cost comes down. Just make sure you seem some of the vehicles they've worked on before telling them to chop your car up.

I suggest you do it! Gs on bags are money. Just look at Shanes car.

for the biggest visual impact...
- 19" wheels & tires($2300+)
- drop($200-1000)
- Akebono's or used Brembo's($1-2k)w/plane rotors

Thanks for some of the input..... I am thinking 19" Gunmetal wheels, but not sure on what brand/style yet.

I read on some previous posts that the Nismo body kit is next to impossible to find...Is that true?

What is a good drop for 19's and what size wheel/offset do I get? I know that there are probably hundreds of previous posts on this but I need to feel special and have the personal recommendation..lol
