Warranty Question

I have an 06 with 37k miles. I'm assuming that since the previous owner purchased it in Oct 2005 that most likely my bumper to bumper expired in Oct of 2009.
my question is, do you still get a loaner even if you don't have warranty when you get a service done?

Ithink it depends on the dealership.

One dealership where I live clocks the hell out of their loaners... marks the gas level, no smoking signs everywhere in the car and gives you a time to be back with the car (no real wiggle room)

Another one here (where I take my car now for warranty work) just hands you the keys and asks when would be a good time for you to bring it back. I had a loaner and got called away for an emergency and ended up keeping it for 2 days after my car was done since my car wasnt finished by the time I had to leave. So basically a free rental car. LOL

The place I take it is not too **** about it. They say they want it the day the car is ready, but i've gotten away with keeping an extra day. They do charge you $5 per day for the rental which is not a big deal, but its definitely a hidden charge that is not mentioned and kind of just added on to the bill.

The last three times i've gotten stuck with the same beat up 07 G35 with high miles. They were out once and got me a hertz car which was a 09 M35 which was a nice change.
