trade-in, no question. basically, you'll be paying $8k for a car (that you already own)that is worth $12k (assuming you have 100k+ miles) that's 75% of the value, which is, in insurance terms, totalled.
If, for example, you were able to sell that car to carmax for $5k, then you can take that $5k plus the $8k you would have spent, and buy a newer car (or place a down payment).

+1 on keeping the car. I'm not ready to finance a car. My car has 90k and if suspension is it's only problems then that's awesome. The things that the dealer mentioned are to make the car a 10/10. Put it this way, I got new wipers rain-x which were close to $40, and they are telling me I should replace them. Really, wipers? I basically brought the car in to get a professional diagnostic and fix the things myself. I did ask for trade-in value, though I won't be trading it in. Would be nice keeping this '09 G37X loaner though!!!!

I'm not lowered and I got an alignment in December. It's under warranty for 6 months, so I can get that done for free after I replace my suspension components.
The brake job is much cheaper than even you quoted!

I hit the rods with PB Blaster. My rear wheel hub bearing definitely needs to be replaced so I can do both with a socket set so long as I purchase the assembly which includes the bearing and the hub already bolted on as one piece. Thats around $120.
The rear axle boot is around $15, but what is the fluid inside that I would have to replace? Is it just grease? I could also hit the drive axle click problem all at once! Very exciting.

If you've got the tools and time, working on these cars is fairly easy. A good set of ramps, two floor jacks, a good set of deep and short metric sockets, breaker bar, and screwdrivers will allow you to do most any maintenance work.
It's grease that's in the axle. Servicing the axle is a bit messy and the hard part is getting the old one out. The hardest part is breaking loose the axle nut. After that, it should be easy. Most people just a remanufacured axle. You could service it yourseld for around $40.
If you replace the rear hub, do a DIY if you can as I'd be interested in this because I'm sure my rear bearings will die an early death thanks to autocrossing.

get the brakes done, consider the wheel bearing and do the rest when you have time.

I saw the same thing, but i didn't want to nitpick.
I do my brake fluid every year. It's excessive, but even then i notice a difference. I usually recommend every 2 years. It's under $20 and takes about an hour with a buddy.
I also have the slow relaxed pace when i do my work. When i did my brake job, it took me 3 hours because I cleaned all my parts, dried them, painted the rotors and calipers and then put it back together...with a break for beers, chat with friends, cell phone, etc.
Brake work is easy. I spend $250 for new nissan parts up front. Is that $80 for each rotor or the pair??

As Mustang pointed out, that $83.40 only gets you 1 rotor, not 2, so you're looking at $215 in parts.
