Was wondering if anybody has tried or even thought about retrofitting the projector from a 02 - 06 Q45 into the G35's headlights?

I think it would be a very unique look and pretty sweet actually... I just don't know the measurements.

Its been done in the lower foglight location on a sedan before.

The circumference of the q45 shroud/projector housing is larger than even the 03-04 coupe "headlight holes" . You would have to do some heavy modifying of the bezel if you wanted them to fit. The more viable option would be to make a whole new bezel for it it, somewhat like the guy with the 350z did to retro these.

I believe they have a 4.25" diameter and the biggest hole in the 03-04 housing is 4". You wouldnt even have an option with an 06 housing since the fog location is smaller.

Ahh nice. Thanks for the quick replies lol. That does look awesome just as I expected. I seen there were some aftermarket ones that people were putting into the Dodge Chargers, I wonder if they would fit better...

So he runs those lights as his high beams? Or just two normal hid lights?

I guess I was a little late to the party. I was going to warn you to stay away from the replicas. They sell them on ebay. They look like crap compared to the oem projector housings. You can really tell the difference.

I've seen this on eBay...are these cheap knockoff's or are they quality? I've thought about doing this kinda retrofit down the line and also for my fogs in my bumper, but I don't want cheap knockoffs and 800-900 for a pair of headlights is quite pricey (not the entire headlight, just the bulb portion whatever its called)
