Where do you service your G?

Just curious, aside from the ones that fix up their own cars, where do you bring your G? To dealers/stealers or local auto shops for tune ups, changing brakes, oil changes, etc? Also, when you bring to local shops, do they just treate it like a nissan and replace it with nissan parts?

I take mine to the dealer for all service. I'd recommend it while the car is under manufacturer's warranty.

Oil change/filters - Driveway
Rotate tires - Local tire shop does it for free if you've ever bought a tire there for any vehicle you've ever owned.
Other - Mechanic friend who has a lift at his house for brakes, lube, inspection ,etc.

Re: Where do you service your G?

It cost me $35 for my first oil change. Now I get it done at Firestone. Just had the tires rotated and balanced. If there's any question, they can spit out all of my service records. I do plan to go to the dealer for my 1 year check.

I use Z Car Garage. Dealer still handles warr work but that will end in 1100 miles.

Re: Where do you service your G?

I just took mine to the local Nissan dealer yesterday for an oil change. $15.95. The service writer said they can do all the service work required but no warranty work. The closest Infiniti dealer is 80 miles away so this is good news.

Unless you know the local mechanics, I would not trust them with my car. Most of them barely know how to spell!!! While under warranty, TAKE IT TO THE DEALER!!!!!!!

Nope. In addition to receiving a coupon for 2 free oil changes when I purchased the car, which I have yet to redeem, the first oil change at 3750 miles was complimentary. The 7500 and 15k services cost me $87 and $267, respectively. Oil changes aren't that frequent because I supply my own Mobil 1 oil.

The service I've received from my dealer (Jim Coleman Infiniti) has been excellent. They've not given me any reason to go elsewhere.
