Floormat Help

Anyone buy any nice aftermarket floormats that look good with a 2003.5 Sedan with Tan interior. Mine are 7 years old and trashed. I would like a little darker that the factory tan set.

toyota makes some nice floormats that slide up and jam the gas pedal at wide open throttle.

^Hell nahh.. lol.

I have some regular black rubber mats on top of the OEM mats that you can get at Walmart. I'm not going to justify myself paying excessive for some mats. lol.

make sure your rubber mats are secured to the floorboard in some way. a lot of the toyota cases involved thick rubber winter mats placed on top of the standard carpet mats, which prevented the little eyehooks from being used to secure the mats. i just worked a case last week this lady's mat jammed the pedal at WOT and she crashed going 120+ and somehow survived. i would S my pants if the car just decided to do what it wanted...

It amazes me that people let the car get up to 120 mph and crash. At no point in time did they think to put it in neutral, stop, and turn the engine off?

Maybe they just panic and don't think about it.

Ya she was pretty panicked, the 911 tapes confirm that. her brakes failed from continuous application at such high speeds. also, the brakes are vacuum assisted and depressing the gas pedal all the way eats most of that vacuum assist up so it was kind of the perfect sh** storm. also, it was a pushbutton ignition and she wasnt aware that you have to hold the pushbutton for 3 seconds to put the car in accessory mode while the vehicle is moving.

sorry to jack your thread man

I do the same thing. Cheap set of black Autozone mats on top of my OEM Stone mats. I do it for the winter though.

I kinda like the look, so i might buy a set of Infiniti mats in graphite for full time use

I run charcoal all-seasons up front with stone interior and the black dash and console. I think it looks good.

If it wasn't so expensive I would re-carpet the whole car with black carpet. Now that would look ballin!!

OP, why not get cheap mats from walmart and prior to selling your car, purchase OEM?
