Last week I visited a Infiniti dealer and I was surprised to find out that Aluminum interior is not available as an option for the 2004 G35x Sedan. It comes with just the plastic center console, which I dislike. The plastic gives the look of some non-luxury car.
Do you guys know if Aluminium is available as a factory/ dealer installed option for the Sedans?

I saw some 2005 interior pictures and it has Aluminium center console. Is this going to be available in 2005?

I always understood that to be Titanium finish AKA painted plastic.

I have a 2004 G35X and it has the aluminum center console circle as well as inserts on the doors.

 

This is one of the reason I back off from buying (the interior). I almost bought a g35x a few weeks ago. The aluminum are just aluminum paints that went on top of plastics (thus, it didn't look as luxury) For a 35k car, we should expect more than plastics. I mean, everything else about the car is great. For 2005, it's real aluminums.

 

That's why I did not get the premium package. I think the titanium trim on the 03.5 console looks cheap. I rather have the black matte console.

I thought this thread was going to be about the aluminum control arms, hood, wheels, engine, etc...

 

I don't have that titanium, but I did have a loaner with it, and I don't think it's just painted, it's basically the same thing as the plastic chrome cars used to have, and it wasn't in bad shape, surprised me since the loaner was obviously not taken care of.

I think you got it wrong it's the sport package that gives you the titanium colored center console. I also didn't like that so I got the premium but not the sport package and my console is black

i like the new aluminum trim on the 05 G35s....i think they use real aluminum trim...hope fully we can retrofit that into our pre 05 cars

I too have a G35x and my question how did you get an X with that? The aluminum trim comes only with the sport package, but the X...therefore the X only has the premium package which has the black interior...

 

I think vtzdriver said he had the "aluminum center console circle as well as inserts on the doors". That's what I've got in my G35X but it's not the same thing as the aluminum console that's in the sport package.

I's a coated plastic, not painted, similar to the older cars with the "chrome" plastic inside!
