look at your remote is it really old. because sometimes after the key fob gets old the buttons don't pop out and will stay pressed. it used to happen with my old civic the alarm would just go off in the middle of the night.

if you still have a second set than take the batteries out of your regular set and only use your second set and see if your alarm stops going off.

OK i think i found the reason for this issue.. a few weeks ago i had my battery disconnected for 2 days and from doing research online i found out that by doing that i totally wiped out the BCM memory and i need to get it reset and relearned.. since the alarm is connected to the BCM.. anyone else agree to this?

Apparently once the battery goes below a certain voltage, according to the guy at Inifniti, it resets a bunch of things on the car. Once we replaced it all the problems were gone. Not sure if that's it for you, but who knows.
Yup I agree. I posted about the voltage drop resetting things the first day you posted your issue, so disconnecting the battery would do the same thing.

I don't agree. If a bad battery or disconnected battery resets a few things, how does it go back to normal after the battery was replaced.
About two years when going on vacation for 2 weeks, I completely disconnected the battery (old factory radio was draining the batter - this was before I knew it). After returning from vacation, and connecting the battery, I had no problems with the car, alarms, and/or other issues.

My alarm did start randomly going off about 2 weeks ago... Still doing it every couple of days.

I do agree that low voltage on the battery could trigger the alarm in theory, but I don't know about the wiping the BCM and needing to reset and relearn thing.

It's most likely one of the sensors, either in the door, trunk, or front hood.

I just ordered a tool that plugs into your computer (sim. to the consult Nissan dealers use) and it lets you check all kind of things including alarm sensors, etc.

I should have this tool on Friday and be able to test it on the weekend.

the car is 06 though u think the sensors can go bad this fast? i tried taking off the hood sensor and it still went off last night..

me unplugging my battery for 2 days won't erase the factory BCM settings.? i heard it can go into sleep mode or something..

Whoa, whoa...stop buying expensive things

Check your pin switches first. They are probably just dirty and as such have been losing the metal to metal connection needed to keep the circuit together.

Below is an old post of mine from when I had an Acura, so some info may not be the same:

The pin switches are the rubber sensors that tun your interior light on when you open a door. I recommend cleaning all 4. It's a pretty easy task. If I remember right, there are 2 screws for each switch (don't drop these). Unhook the electrical connector (DO NOT LET THIS FALL INTO THE BODY OF THE CAR). Then you pry a little metal tab off to disassemble the pin switches. Then just clean the metal. Also clean the screws cuz they complete the circuit. Or buy new ones for pretty cheap.

Your car is an '06? Do you live in a very dusty or humid area?

That would make sense that it doesn't go off when the weather is hot and the metal is expanded. The alarm goes off when the circuit breaks, so there will be more space between the two pieces of metal when it's cold outside. Good luck!
