Looking at purchasing an 06 Sedan Auto, have some Q's for current or past owners

GF is looking at picking this car up has 54K miles on it. Looks and drives like a pretty solid car. I did some reading on the TSB and what not regarding rev up motors and I read it only applies to manual models but the TSB from Infiniti specifies "All sedans" which worries me. Does anyone have experience with this that they can confirm what is what.
I was also curious if anyone that has encountered any problematic areas while owning their 06 G or so can chime in regarding. Currently she has an 04 Maxima with one of those BS transmissions that is about to go out so we are skeptical to get another VQ/AUTO nissan/infiniti.

The oil consumption issue does seem to affect 6MT revup engines more than AT models. A bought an 06 5AT last month (because i wanted AWD) and have none the less checked my oil at each fill up - still on full. I suggest doing the same if you buy the car. The dipstick is a bit of a pain btw - it's a twisted and flexible strip that goes in a hole that's not all that easy to see.

I haven't encountered any problems yet but I havn't had the car very long.

OC on AT is extremely rare. Not to say our engines don't use a little oil, but the excessive consumption on a auto model is not that common.

Mine uses about 1/2 quart per oil change...about 3750-4000 miles

No oil consumption on my '06 X.

Problematic areas? Hmm...a slight creak/rattle from the right rear door/window area when going over a bump. But it is a known issue and there is a TSB for it and some DIY fixes that I'll be taking a look into once the weather gets warmer.

I'd be more worried about compression rods, axle click, seat rocking, rear window clicks and the other common TSB's

67,000 miles here on an 05 and I have none of the above issues except for a couple of squeaks and rattles.

Hope I didn't just jinx myself.
