Last dyno was before tuning the stage 2 and put 239 to the wheels and 225 torque. The tune should have easily put another 25 down. I had bigger injectors than the G sports. 0-60 in 5 flat. Bone stock I ran 14.2 at 97 mph. That thing was a demon!

That was a custom header made by a Clear Image Automotive in Washington. Had a bung for factory O2 sensor and on for the LC-1 wideband sensor I installed and a high flow cat. The exhaust was a stainless 2.75" system from Random Technology. The interior was a custom Katzkins kit made for the Recaro seats that came with the car. I thought the blue was a good match for the paint.

^No, you missed the joke.... "Ion" .... static?
Honestly, I was halfway wondering if you actually had an Ion or if you were making a physics joke.

You still wouldn't have screamed past me though
In 07 I wasn't driving a G35, I was driving a Trans-Am (94 until may and a 00 WS-6 thereafter)
No doubt the G wouldn't keep up, but I stopped caring about that a while back.

I'm blonde. I didn't catch the joke. Funny enough my plate on the Ion was NRGIZED. That was my play on words. Supercharged.....positively charged......Ion........get it? Lol!

Unless you had some serious work done to your T/A, I'da been door-to-door with you. I'd almost put money on it, Lol! Perfect sleeper. Not so perfect on a bad back with suspension mods. On a side note, go to youtube and look up nastyfastnx. He has a twincharged Ion that rapes Z06's and such. I'm sure he has some vids out there.

Back on topic though, plastic panels have a tendency to retain static no matter what you so to them. It's something you'll have to just deal with, OP. Sucks for us who have dark colors too. I can spend the entire day doing a thorough detail to the car and get up in the morning to find a fine layer of sandy dust on the whip. The downside of low humidity in the desert.

you didn't happen to get those numbers from a gtech or iPhone did you? Funny how your stock car ran a second cater in the 1/4 than any other car. Regardless, it is a Saturn! It was never cool, nor "fast".

Huh? A second faster than what? You gave no comparison. I was bone stock and ran 14.2 at SIR in Tucson, AZ. Not sure why you're slamming the car. Look, if you ain't got nothing nice to say STFU ****. Look at it from your point. My $20000 Saturn can hand your a$$ to your $40000 car and get better gas mileage beyatch. Define "fast". If you can't beat it then you ain't fast. Stage 2, 60lb/hr injectors, smaller s/c pulley and modified engine management put that car over 260 to the ground. I don't own a Gtech or iPhone. My numbers came from the track and a Mustang dyno at IA Performance in Tucson. Wait, why am I wasting my time trying to prove anything to you, dumba$$. I built it and ran it. And it was a great car.

Faster than every other stock Redline genius. They are a 15 sec car at best. How'd that beautifull machine handle? And reliability? GM knows how to build them don't they???
My car cost 15k smart guy. Lets put $5k into it and see how your beloved saturn fairs... ****, lets put 2k into it and see. hahaha, saturn...

Every other stock Redline is around the same time and trap dufus. I actually know several guys that have that car doing 1.9-2.2 60' times on DR's and solid 12's on the 1/4 line. Do some research before you mouth off. Actually that beautiful machine handled very well. I ran it in auto-x once and it stuck to the pavement quite fine. Progress lowering springs, and front/rear anti-roll bars. Never had a single major problem with the car in the 3 years I owned it. Replaced the ignition cylinder and the fuel pump under warranty. Otherwise it was in my garage, not on the rack. $15K might be what you paid, but that's not the price it originally marketed at, I'm certain. I had just around $2K tied up in upgrades and gained a 30% power increase. You're gonna spend more than that on this platform to gain 30% power. Laugh all you want. It's knuckleheads like you that make car enthusiasts look real bad, effin' fanboi.

Ok, I don't want to be a jerk, but this is kindof a silly argument really.

Nah, that wasn't aimed at you brother. 6MT was acting a fool and I was showing some info to clear his ignorance of the car altogether. My car was past all those stats. As I said, mine was a modified stage 2 setup with large injectors, smaller pulley, upgraded street and dyno tune. I was just bustin' yer ***** over this. I ain't saying it's the fastest thing out there, but there are some very surprised drivers out there that found out the hard way how fast the Ion RL can be. I never got a chance to drag it after all the mods, but if I was running low 14 sec traps on a base stock car, I'm certain that I could make up a half second with the upgrades applied. 13.5 is damn fast. I'd be happy with a DD doing that! I really wish I'd run it before selling just to know 100% what it was capable of.

I feel bad though. This thread became a runaway train of non-ceramic brake discussion. Sorry OP.

Over the past decade, tire manufacturers have been developing "lower rolling resistance" tires to increase gas mileage--- this is achieved thru using less of a substance called "carbon black," which is critical to reducing and eliminating static electricity. Tires generally dissipate most static electricity in our cars, but what doesn't get removed ends up as a static, which is what you're getting shocked with!.

Bags would need to be dragging the ground for static discharge.
