Front license plate cover

Sup guys, I have a small problem. I was trying to install a front plate cover on the bumper but it doesnt install properly.
The 2 bottom screws go in and secure fine but the palte cover has 2 plastic things stick out and they dont seem to be even needed ..... and because of those 2 things the plate cover doesnt secure and snap in.

SHould I break those 2 plastic things ? or am I doing something wrong ?

Thanks

Uhhhh to cover the huge "hole" that is left by not having a front license plate ... thats why they provided me with the cover to place on the bumper.

I would kill to be in your predicament. I've got a plate on by the dealership and it has to stay on due to the scars behind it.

If you have a tow hook opening just get the Stillen LP kit if you absolutely have to have a front plate.

Some states do not require a licence plate on the front of vehicles, only the back.
Now by removing the front license plate, you're left with an ugly looking hole from which you can get to where the tow bolt goes.
Instead of buying some cheap looking aftermarket license plate, there is an
oem filler panel that is made from the same material as the bumper that should fit in perfectly flush with the front bumper. This is the cover that he's referring to.

Yes, IM trying to install the cover for it but it doesnt mount right due to 2 plastic things that are sticking out of the cover. Do I break those plastic things ?

No sorry: just this one. You can get it painted from a shop for pretty cheap to match.

$40 USD shipped is pretty cheap I would say.

Let me know. You may be able to even do (paint) this yourself for cheap.

Lol this thread is turning into a sales thread quick...
To OP: I think it would help if you told us what year your car is, I think the holes and covers are different if I'm not mistaken.
Also, I'm sure those clips are supposed to go into some kind of hole as that's what holds the cover in place. ?

I have an 03 G35 .... the front bumper plate cover has 2 plastics things in the middle of its back sticking out, the thing is that there is no where for them to snap in .. they are just in the way.
I will take a pic today.
