Autodim Rearview Sensitivity

Is there any way to increase the sensitivity of the autodim feature? Most headlights aren't bright enough to turn activate it which is annoying. As I recall, my 2001 Maxima's could be turned on and off.

yes you can turn it on and off, but you can not adjust sensitivity.

By on I meant permanently at the darkest level but I got you. Infiniti needs to tighten up.

just tilt the entire mirror up a little bit...it will be like if you have a manual tilt/glare adjustment lever.

I have the same issue as Hearno...it does dim, but not until the following lights are kinda unpleasant.

Try cleaning off the sensor...perhaps dust or something is reducing the sensitivity.

That's a good call, it never even occurred to me.

i've noticed that the german cars mirror tinting systems are far superior then to that of the japanese...as with everything else! window tint also helps to eliminate glare
